Team news, live updates and reaction all here this afternoon: https://bit.ly/37c64y0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Interesting. Obviously with Tuesday at Bradford in mind, but still what should be a competitive team. Lloyd and May up front screams a lack of goals but you never know, hopefully they'll both bag a brace. With Azaz, Clements and Sercombe in midfield, with Boyle rested as well, it's a very, very footballing team.
Last time we played Crewe in the cup I think we beat them 4-1 away in a replay and Holman scored.

Quality on my TV (iPlayer) is actually a bit worse than the iFollow iPad app for me.
Anyway, 1-0 for now. Such a tense game.
What I will say is that if Azaz had not got injured we would be top of the league.

Yeah, how it is still 1-0 I don’t know. We are going to get defenders sent off at this rate.

IPlayer, super quality.. Should be two up. No 17 freestone ? weak in my humble opinion.
Good to see Hussey, don’t like two short forwards, especially when not played to feet.

After the goal ruled out against Cambridge and the chance today but can’t be long until Sercombe starts scoring regularly. May is so fast, looks a constant threat on the counter. Lloyd struggling to make the same impact.

A good game between two good sides. Freestone lucky not to see red. Azaz has been our stand out player.

Meanwhile, ten minutes after the event, the commentary will still be on the subject of the unawarded corner.

Glorious chance for Raglan. For a moment the corner of that net looked bigger than a barn door but shrunk to an attic hatch as the ball floated wide.

YEEEEESS!
Super play by May, his speed to nick the ball and win it back for Sang to cross.
That’s why May stayed on, despite the commentators banging on in disbelief that he was still on.

I think having so much top flight football on TV during lockdown has made the difference in quality between proper professional commentators and the local radio equivalents more obvious.

I do wish they would talk about Artell holding up the substitutes board for the referee again.

It’s a never ending game which started back in 2020 I think, so one can forgive them for forgetting the substitutes board incident.Hubert Parry wrote:I do wish they would talk about Artell holding up the substitutes board for the referee again.
