Disastrous start.
Just three points above the drop zone as it stands. We need to turn this around and end our winless run.

Thomas as per my prediction league prediction. I just felt during this week that the Shrews would yield a penalty.
Only a win is acceptable now.

Crowley again.
Come on, get the third. Don’t let them back in it.

Yes. Thank feck for that.
Sounds like we should have had more had we been clinical.
Job done. Up to 11th.

Same number of points off the playoffs as we are relegation: 8. Like Nesty said, with key players out, plus at least three games where no one can believe we didn’t win. What might have been, eh?
Turn the Gills over on Tuesday and we are well on course for ~65 points.

Not a great game to be honest, Shrewsbury started really well and clearly wanted to impose their physical advantage, then we gift a woeful goal to give away on our part but after we equalized it was all one way. There is not a huge gap between mid-table teams like ourselves and Crewe/Morecambe/Shrews/Gills etc but you can see we are just that bit better all across the pitch. I can see Cotts keeping Shrews up but it's going to be tight.
Top half finish is looking possible if we can tweak the team in January and get our injured players back,

We have to do whatever it we can to keep him. Get him on the phone to the Cayman Islands chaps.
The dream has to be seeing Crowley and The Boy in the same team in the spring.
I'd love for him to stay but I don't think we'd be able to justify the wages with a fit Wright and Perry in the squad
Let’s see…beat Wimbledon and we get cup income. I think we should do whatever we can to give him a 2 year deal.

Just been reading the (pretty balanced) Salop message board. A summary:
1. LOTS of complaints about the cost of watching. Must admit, £26 is steep for a L1 seat and they didn't have the option of purchasing a cheaper standing ticket like I did.
2. Some comments about whether that was a deliberate hand-ball. I didn't see from the Paddock - so they *definitely* didn't see from the away end. The replay angle has the incident obscured by a defender. However, there were *zero* complaints from the players on the pitch at the time, so I'm 100% certain it was the right decision.
3. The 1st 20 mins was "the best they'd played all season" - have to say, their high-press had us beaten all ends up and we were talking about whether they'd be able to keep that up the whole game. There was only one winner until the red card - then it all changed in the blink of an eye.
4. The sub, Pierre, got *a lot* of stick generally and specifically for the second goal. In fact, Cotts got some criticism for the substitutions in general.
5. Some thought Pennington was lucky to stay on the pitch after his deliberate hand-ball to stop Huss, early on - followed by another foul shortly after.

Thanks. Good interview, apart from wanting to change the rules for deliberate handball on the line.
Hope he keeps them up against the odds, but if he is sacked then it would be good to see him at WR on matchdays.
