Obviously we already have 1 defeat in January, but we have 3 of the top 4 coming up in the next 4 games... what are we thinking would be a good points total for the rest of this month?
Portsmouth (h) 1st
Bolton (a) 2nd
Carlisle (h) 23rd
Derby (a) 4th
Think we might have to be happy if we come out of it with 4? Portsmouth have had a few dodgy results over Christmas against teams they would have been expecting to beat so there's the hope of something there, and Carlisle are obviously a big target for 3 points. Bolton and Derby are capable of throwing the odd point away, but away from home I'm not counting on it.

Burton away has also been rescheduled for 23rd Jan, that would be a nice 3pts if we could get manage it.
6 would be great, anything more would be an absolute bonus for me

I don’t disagree with RCS countdown or DC’s number of wins but the key stat is…are we within 3 points of safety when we play Stevenage?
If we stay within three points (after our dreadful start) that’s basically a miracle. Hang in there boys, we’ve had easy games in december and will have hard ones in January.
You can’t stay up in January…but you can confirm your relegation

We'll almost certainly still be bottom four come end of Jan, but the important things are:
1) To keep within touch of safety.
2) Don't lose faith that we can do this.

Bolton (a) L
Carlisle (h) Need a win. Be huge if we can get the 3 points
Burton (a) 1 point will do
Derby (a) 1 point will do
Beat Carlisle and beat either Derby or Burton and we’re looking good. 2 points from Derby and Burton wouldn’t be the end of the world. 4 points would be beautiful.

I really wouldn't want to go to Stevenage needing a result its horrible ground, horrible manager and could be another Notts County again, that was horrid taking 2500 fans feeling we would pull off the great escape only to narrowly go down. Do think it could go to the last game but equally on current form we could be safe before hand.Ben3 wrote: ↑05 Jan 2024, 17:47 I don’t disagree with RCS countdown or DC’s number of wins but the key stat is…are we within 3 points of safety when we play Stevenage?

Whilst our fixtures this month are very tough a quick gland over February fixtures suggests they are pretty favourable.
