Definitely out for me, he was certainly watching the bowler run up.
Bowler's first ball of the match, clearly batsman hadn't done his homework and got caught by surprise by the early release from behind the crease.

Yea, saw that yesterday. The ball had actually left the bowler's hand when the batsman stepped back. Should definitely have been out.
