Si Robin wrote: 28 Mar 2025, 10:14 I don't like the two sides comment. Every time SISU tried to take something to court they lost, at one point a judge even criticised them for deliberately harming Coventry City as a business to make a point.

I appreciate this is Seppala on her own now and not as part of SISU (though I'm not sure there's really a difference), but I'm still really sceptical over the whole thing.
As you know I've been critical of the board but for me here David is simply saying the investment would come from Joy Seppala personal wealth rather than SISU hedgefund (which would be looking for a return). Although I cannot say for certain but this was what I understood he was implying.
How are the personal (business) interests of Seppala going to be any different from a company she was head of?
Well she is accountable to herself rather than her own hedge fund investors who will have an expectation on payback. She is putting in her own money so can be patient when needed.

  I immediately thought no chance but then recall Dennis Bergkamp was part of a consortium who tried to buy Wycombe not that long ago.

Thing is you need big money for this if we want someone to put in £15-20million we are looking at people with access to much more wealth than that, likely in the hundreds of millions which is a very small percentage of the population.

Unless you know what her personal interests are, then that is a hard one to answer. I dare say if and when she is interested, she will make her personal interests known to the club. If she has no interest, she will walk away. Then some on here will be happy and we will never know.
Would be interesting to know if any of the others that have expressed an interest have actually taken the time to come down and have a look around a couple of times. At least JS has had the decency to do that.
David Bloxham confirmed she has been around the training ground and attended the Grimsby game and is very interested in acquiring us. So she isn't likely to walk away and probably we await her to make an offer of what she would do with the club and then we will compare with the other offers as they come in.

David also confirmed another interested party had also visited us formally.

That being the case, I am surprised JP or similar have not named the others

I've reeled this one out before, but:
Dennis Bergkamp, Thierry Henry and Patrick Vieira backed Daniel Ek's bid to buy Arsenal; Ek claims his £1.8bn offer was rejected;

Ek is Swedish, the CEO of Spotify and worth $8.2bn, and we have heard about Swedish interest. Bergkamp was interested in Wycombe with some of his ex-teammates... put 2 & 2 together and make of it what you will ;) :D

It says in the transcript (I'm sure) that other potentials have been down to, or due at, the ground and training ground.
It’s just they might not be known so could have slipped in without people noticing.

Here’s one for you, maybe Lofty is sorting a consortium….. Can just see Danny Dyer, Phil and Grant and Biancaaaaaaaaaa cheering on the Robins ImageImage

Also Stevie Winwood is local and a fan.
I haven’t seen Stevie down the club for a long time. Sure he’s still keeps on running though…..
Steve used to bring his son to games and frequent the Kemble on occasionally.
