I don't condone their actions, but nobody should have to wait three years to be sentenced.

These were young lads who shouldn't have this hanging over their heads for so long.

Seems these eleven 20-somethings (just to clarify that these 'young lads' were actually grown adults at the time) all pled guilty but four others had to go to trial and, apparently, the sentencing had to wait until the conclusion of that - and that was the bulk of the delay. I agree that there shouldn't be such a huge delay - but I've little sympathy and they need to realise that actions have consequences.
I wonder if the club has taken any action in the meantime?

For so long? Rape cases can go on for five years which is an even more ridiculous state of affairs.paperboy wrote: ↑10 Apr 2025, 07:44 I don't condone their actions, but nobody should have to wait three years to be sentenced.

Don't get caught up in at scrap at the football and you won't have to suffer the consequences

From my understanding a football banning order is what will come once it's been through the courts, I have heard of several people that are under a club ban, which would be a different thing altogether.
