Would have made a good number two to Flynny, perhaps, had he been available in the summer.

Finn Azaz tearing Oxford a new one, apparently. Boro are 6-2 up at the Kassam.
A turn of events I can get behind.
(This time last year Will Goodwin was doing likewise at Whaddon Road).

Interesting to see that all the players that left us in the summer for League 1 are all, at best, on the benches for their respective new clubs. Southwood, Pardington, Freestone, Street & Lloyd.

Just got one eye on Middlesbrough as I watch our game. Who would have thought that Finn Azaz would be the one pulling up trees in the Championship over The Boy Wright? When they were both with us, Wright looked destined for the Championship and Azaz more likely for League One.
Obviously, both currently in the Championship but not sure how long for. One could be up and the other down in the summer.

This doesn't bode well if tales of a director picking the team is true.
A warning for any club looking for investment!

Jack Butland had an eventful Sunday.
3-3 aet with Celtic, he took Ranger’s last penalty in the shootout (scoring) before facing the final, winning, Celtic penalty.

Azaz was voted Championship player of the month for November, btw.Shade wrote: ↑10 Dec 2024, 20:27 Just got one eye on Middlesbrough as I watch our game. A hefty sell-on percentage coming our way, surely
Chris Zebrowski continuing his non-league tour by joining Taunton Town.
Oh and midfield maestro Alex Russell has been named in the Ultimate Torquay United team over the last 50 years.
It was chosen by the retiring football reporter Dave Thomas who is probably their equivalent of Derek Goddard, with JP probably on track to join them as reporting legends.

Derek was the last reporter to be banned from the team bus. On a positive note he was a major seller of the clubs draw tickets which probably financed a few players wages from his sales alone. He donated all his commision to charity.

I know it’s been mentioned on another thread but The Boy saw red for Plymouth at Coventry yesterday. A bit of a wild lunge that was worthy of a sending off. And he looks so angelic.

Good player but the Hibs web page says he has been injured for most of the last two seasons after being crocked in training by Lee Johnson. He needs game time so if he can get to the right club he would be a good signing as he has been paid up. I suspect he has something lined up.Jerry St Clair wrote: ↑02 Jan 2025, 12:00Did he have a sensational game down at Home Park when we beat Plymouth 2-0 about five years ago? Ran the show, IIRC.

Swiftly read a Dundee United match report and think Will Ferry was involved with one of the goals.Jerry St Clair wrote:Ferry very involved and having a decent game.
Local derbies are not the best measure of quality, but on this evidence, the Scottish Prem cannot be much better than EFL League One.
The Dundee derby looked very much L1 standard. The earlier Old Firm Derby, however, of a much higher quality. Not surprising, both sides doing ok in Europe.Jerry St Clair wrote: ↑02 Jan 2025, 18:48Ferry very involved and having a decent game.
