He's not quite a former player, but best wishes to Ryan Bowman who was taken ill during yesterdays match with heart pulpitations.

Yes best wishes Ryan.
On the Shrewsbury front, rumours of new owners or investment there, could be interesting......

Curious. The stadium site would make a mint from housing…

Watching England concede a penalty tonight made me remember Joe Gadston who must have been one of the pioneers of making contact with a defender to win a penalty. I'm sure he'd challenge my opinion, but it did seem to happen an awful lot.
What's surprising is the transfer fee we paid Corby to sign him.

Joe was guilty of that often,on one occasion he looked up at us behind the goal and winked as the ref;awarded the spot kick we loved him anyway.

Just a little aside, talking about penalties, I think we are 11 League games and a few cup games (16 matches in total?) into the season and I can't remember us conceding or being awarded a penalty yet, which seems a lot for none at all.

Good to see Ryan Bowman playing for Shrewsbury today after last week's health scare.
He'd had similar issues whilst at Exeter apparently.
Football- wise he hasn't set the world alight for Shrews and I reckon he could be another bullet we dodged.
Obviously he'll score against us now.

Again. He hasn't got a good record against us since he left, from what I can remember.

I think Cowley had been at Willem II before, in fact, I think I'd seen him play there in 2019. There aren't that many teams that play in red white and blue. Tilburg's a nice place.
