Wasn't he signed after tearing Luke Garbutt a new one?

Always felt he should be doing better. A bit like Ashley Vincent. They both proved pace isn't everything.

Vincent over McGlashan for me. His pace kept us in L1: chasing that lost cause to win that corner vs Doncaster.

Vincent was on his way to becoming something quite special until he did his knee ligaments against Tranmere.

A real shame, he was never the same player after that.

Quite a few fans believed that signing McGlashan was the reason we didn't get promoted in 2012, as we had a good settled side and then Yates started trying to force him into the lineup and it unsettled everything. Whether we would have won more games from January onwards that season if he'd never have joined, who knows. He sure was fouled a lot, though...

He sure won us a lot of free kicks, anyway... (he wasn't *always* fouled when he did that...)

Great to watch. Pace and willing to take a man on. No backwards and sideways with Jermaine. Tackled back too unlike some we have now.

Seeing as we have the best drilled team defensive shape we have every had, who are you suggesting is not tackled back who should be?

Wright and Ramsay both run back but often just stick out a leg or run five yards away. McGlashan tackled like a full back.
