Playing with Grant Horton and just called up by Republic of Ireland,James Talbot. Just read his story.Let go by Sunderland at 18 and has had six seasons of good form. Worth a punt if he fancies it.

At that age he will probably need a season or two playing underneath Owen?

Sorry, misread your post and thought you said he was now 18.

He would be a decent shout as you say.

I want an experienced keeper not a player learning their trade, they can learn their trade at Mansfield or Walsall where they wont put our league one status at risk.

Thank God we've got s#!t loads of money to throw at one of these experienced keepers then.

I'd rather we address our defence, especially with Boyle leaving, way more than replacing Owen. That said, I do expect a new keeper to come in and replace Flinders this summer, maybe a loanee like Griffiths. The lad currently on loan at Mansfield could be such an option.

I agree with Robin CB and LCB need to be filled before looking at Evans and I expect it'll be another young loan to challenge him for number 1, especially not paying a transfer fee

As for James Talbot he might be good, he might not, but one things for certain the quality of the Republic of Ireland squad has looked woeful in recent times

Josh Griffiths wanted to come back this season but Baggies wanted to send him to a side that would be pushing higher in the table in Lincoln. I wonder how much further above them we’d be with him in net.
