Signs an extension

Overall pleased with that but I guess Rovers didn't come in for him

Or they didn’t offer him as much.

Great to have him staying on. One of the senior leaders in the squad.

Happy days. A player MD wants and one less player we have to replace.

picked up the last few games but really need to see much more from him throughout a whole season, MD obviously sees more than we do throughout the week (training mentoring etc).

Pleased with him staying, and glad he rejected overtures from elsewhere.

I have not seen any confirmation that Liam has re-signed for us.
All I saw was a tweet on Saturday from JP that said he was "set to sign."
Just sayin' like.....

Same. Looks like I might have jumped the gun on this one!

Interestingly a one year deal only.
Would have thought he'd have got a two year deal somewhere, but glad Liam has signed.
Invaluable experience at this level.

I cant see Barton being at Rovers for much longer (he has ambitions very much above his station, a budget Steven Gerrard) so wouldn't be surprised if he's just waiting.

Barton is one of the favourites for the Burnley job (ahead of Duff) last time I saw. Can definitely see him leaving Rovers for a Championship side at the first approach.
