£100k not much, one year contract for a player in this league. If only the board could have convinced Duff to sign an extended deal before all of this happened.

And make his overall package more expensive to his new club? He knew what he was doing, by dragging it out. Fair play to him, looking after #1. I hope your belief that the shortlist was drawn up some time ago is correct, as the writing was on the wall some time ago.

tbf Barnsley should come expecting to pay whatever for him (they want him), can't see how Duff (more his agent I should imagine) should be making it cheaper for Barnsley? What does he care what they have to pay for him?

Do we get add on's for managers?
If he manages more than 20 matches etc. for Barnsley we get appearance bonuses do you mean?
Yeah, and we get 20% of their prize money for anything they win - noddy cup, promotion, etc. And we get a £500,000 lump sum windfall if he goes on to manage Northern Ireland

...but if he loses his first ten matches again we have to give them their money back.
