Just seen on twitter that Southend have announced the new sponsors of one of their stands, now to be known as the Gilbert & Rose West Stand. Gilbert & Rose is a local estate agency, apparently, but they really didn't think that one through.

Then saw a fan tweet that he always goes in the West Stand at...Gloucester City AFC...nothing like naming a stand after your most notorious local mass murderers.

Just came to post that story! Brilliant! Bit like the time Man City had an online poll to name one of their ends and Man Ure and Liverpool fans voted in their thousands to get it named after City legend Colin Bell.

It's not difficult, is it? Just remove "West" and have it as the Gilbert & Rose Stand?!
