What’s happened to the matchday programme?
I bought one last Saturday and was shocked at the lack of value for money.
£3 for 24 pages, which included a lot of adverts.
Last season it was £3 for twice as many pages, and the pages were larger sized than Saturday’s.
Cynical me reckons the club want to stop producing but know there’ll be outcry. So if they reduce the quality so much and people stop buying it, there’s a valid reason to stop producing.
For years, the programme was one of the best in whichever division the club was in. It won’t be this season, if last Saturday’s is an example of what it’s going to be like each game.
So sad.
