Talk about other football teams at all levels. AND ANY Glos City related threads, even if talking about the groundsharing.

Bit of a surprise that they went there but builds more excitement that they'll help to send FGR back to non league

About their level now tbf, they had their chance and for whatever reason they didn't hit the heights people thought they would, can't see them ever going any higher.

It's also local for them, so makes more sense.

Surprised me a bit that one and comes off the back of another couple of eye brow raising recent League 2 appointments with Karl Robinson to Salford and Steve Morison to Sutton. Amazing how quickly you can go from the 'new shiny thing' to the basement in football management.

Duffer will have to be careful or he'll be back in League 2 if he doesn't get something soon.

Karl Robinson managed to get himself sent off on debut within 15 mins for throwing the ball away to prevent FGR taking a quick throw in. Inspired.

Yes he was but it isn't that long ago he was managing Cardiff in the Championship and apparently nearly went back there last summer.

With his league two championship, our highest finish in league one and Barnsley in the playoffs (all quite recently) he probably has credit that will see him still on the radar but you are right, you're forgotten very quickly if you spend too much time on the golf coarse.
