Cheer up guys we're not that bad in fact we're quite a friendly bunch.
some positives;
It should be the Saturday as the chances of this tie being on live TV are slim to zero,
A chance for Town fans to tick off a ground most have never been to before.
We have a nice relatively new stadium 5 minutes walk from the town centre & rail station giving easy access to food & drink options avoiding the overpriced c!#p stadium catering.
A friendly old duffer (me) answering any questions you may ask.

Nothing personal. We’re just all generally pretty depressed about our football club at the moment. A long trip up north to witness a highly probably cup exit has not improved matters.
I never got to visit Millmoor and I haven’t been to the new place. A new stadium in a central location, rather than out of town near a motorway, is a rare thing and all power to you for that.

A nice little stadium you've got up there, we are looking for someone who can help us build similar infrastructure with a new main stand. That said, we are a mess right now and this is almost a bye for you so I'd be surprised if more than 200 Town fans travel up.
Unfortunately BTM you've got old "Marmite" Steve Evans as your manager so I can just picture him giving it the big I am in the post match interview (where Rotherham will probably win 2-0 or 3-0 due to our lack of coherent strikers up front and our terrible defence) and him complaining that it should've been 5...
Edit: on the plus side being near the town centre it'll mean that I don't sit in all of the Meadowhell traffic coming off Jn 34 so every cloud and all that
Our "football" under SE could be described as "agricultural" at best & certainly not one for the purist but after last season's disastrous experiments under firstly Matt Taylor then Leam Richardson we had to curb the losing mentality around the club, hence Evans return..
Personally I didn't want him back as his style is abhorrent but I can understand our chairman's viewpoint.
We have a squad full of EFL promotion winners but TBH it hasn't clicked yet but October has seen us starting to get results even if performances have been less than convincing.
This game in my view is far from a foregone conclusion as we struggled to overcome Crewe in the Carabao & then lost convincingly at Fleetwood in the 2nd round.
I'd like to see plenty of Town fans at NYS as it's a more than decent awayday (I would say that)
Anyhoo all the very best for the rest of t'season.

BTW in the interests of self promotion when Rotherham are away I travel the EFL vlogging matchday experiences as a neutral. Whaddon Road is on my to do list BTW.

Mate, we've got zero resilience. We aren't the type of team that goes to a team a league above and pulls off a result, or runs them close. 2, 3 years ago, yeah. But this lot don't have the mentality, or skill, for it. Might as well save everyone some time and money and just call it 3-0 now. A team bottom of L1 with 0 wins all season would be too much of a stretch for us at the moment. A team bottom of L2 with 0 wins would be an immense struggle!

Yes, a Home Walkover job like when you're playing top of the league on a Sunday morning.
He's currently the bookies odds on favourite for the Shrewsbury job so it's a mute point. Ask Burton fans about him he kept them up when they were odds on to go down after a disastrous start in the Wade season but they failed to kick on the next one.
