watched a bit of the lpool v chels game yesterday and now seems games in the prem are about 'influencing' the ref more than anything. Salah deliberately delaying his shot in the box as he new a challenge would come in and he could 'buy' a penalty shout.
The penalty area is now such a crucial part of the pitch (but not for taking a shot) that getting in the refs ear and creating a situation where he has to then make a decision (which they have probably influenced with all their prior antics) seems to be a genuine tactic.
You then get the manager laying the ground for the next time that ref refs their game by slagging off their performance and questioning their decisions.
what a total s#!t show it has become.
