An U21 side would be marvellous. Get some January loans lined up to replace Colwill, Shipley and Laing.

It may be a known that Colwill is getting pulled? If not, I wouldn't be so sure. He is now begining to find his feet on L2 so why would his parent club not leave him to develop further. As opposed to putting him in a L1 where he may not get the game time and / or struggle. At first at least

I expect Laing and Shipley to be sent back but can't see Collwill going anywhere he's getting regular games here and doing well. Unless there is a league one side willing to give him regular game time I doubt the situation changes. It's just people worrying like they do everytime we get a good season long loan like Caleb and Jacob Greaves.

Walsall
Brighton u21
Cambridge
Wycombe
Colchester
Burton
Notts County
Swindon

Wycombe looks by far the toughest of those and the one to avoid.
Would be very happy with Brighton, Cambridge, Burton or Swindon. Surprised Notts are in the southern half of the draw.

If they have plans for him to be around the first team squad next season it makes sense they'd want to push him up a league and he's good enough for a regular slot in L1. We benefited when it fell in favour of us for Kion Etete.

Losing out to Port Vale on Harper suggests to me we're looking for a replacement already as surely he would have been coming in as a first team starter?

Yes, although the options are quite limited.

He's not going to Birmingham, Bolton, Wrexham or other moneyed clubs at the top where he'd be on the bench. Equally, I doubt Cardiff would want him at Burton, Cambridge or Crawley as they're not much of an improvement on us.

Bristol Rovers or Exeter might be possibilities. Better players than us, in a higher division, geographically convenient, and he'd have a good chance of first team action

Or coincidentally Northampton Town or even Rotherham will have been impressed after his 2 goals last week. Time will tell.
