The culmination of fantastic work by Robins Trust Board member Jenny Hancock and Club SLO Kaylene Isherwood, the Shadow Board will see a new platform for dialogue between supporters and the Club, including the Club's Directors.
From the Club site:
The purpose of the Cheltenham Town Shadow Board is to ensure regular structured dialogue, providing the opportunity to share ideas and feedback on matters of importance to the fanbase as a whole and improving both the Club and supporters’ experience.
This is an exciting milestone for supporters and the Club as we form our first ever supporter-led Shadow Board. The Board will be a consultative body consisting of up to 12 representatives from independent supporter groups of Cheltenham Town and individual supporters.
The initial Cheltenham Town Shadow Board will have three reserved seats for the Robins Trust, one for Proud Robins, one for Her Game Too and one for the 1887 Red Army with six remaining seats for individual supporters.
Candidates for the elected positions will be sought from our fanbase to encourage a wide and diverse representation of supporters. Cheltenham Town are committed to the values of equality, diversity and inclusion and welcomes applications from all supporters.
The Shadow Board will be set up for the 2025/26 season. There will be a minimum of four meetings per season with formal agendas and minutes recording the discussion and actions taking place.
The Cheltenham Town Shadow Board will:
- Offer different perspectives, information and input for consideration on strategic, matchday and operational matters
- Consist of individuals who understand their role as representatives of supporters and have suitable skills that will enable them to provide a voice at board level
- Facilitate a regular channel of communication and proactive consultation between the Club and its fan/community base, in addition to the Club’s other channels of supporter engagement
- Recognise that some information that is disclosed will be regarded as confidential and only for discussions with the Shadow Board
If you are interested in applying to be a Shadow Board representative, please make sure you are able to give up your time to be part of the meetings and discussions. All applicants must be over the age of 18.
To apply, please fill out the form here:https://forms.gle/3HczMc8PygoREDzL6. Applications will close on Friday 30th May at 11PM.
All applications will be considered and reviewed with a shortlist of successful candidates to be invited to interview by a panel with representatives from the Club, Robins Trust and Football Supporters' Association (FSA).
Following the application and interview process, an election will take place where there are more candidates than places available. The FSA will independently oversee this process.
If you have any problems with filling out the application form or have questions about the Shadow Board, please email the Club’s Supporter Liaison Officer at slo@ctfc.com
