Not even the usual "we thank Steve for all his hard work" in the statement - just "we've sacked him".

There’s never been anything classy about that circus of a club. They deserve to go bust.

He’ll probably be first reserve whenever sacking season starts in either L2 or the top half of the National League.

This could get messy.

Fairly predictable plot line

"We sacked him for breach of conduct, blah, blah."

"Nonsense I've been unfairly dismissed"

Wouldn’t it be funny if it wasn’t Savage after all?!

That link should be Vince stating what he's done in an interview. I hope if SC has a chance, he sues them because it does seem very underhand. I really think with Savage in charge, its going to be a shitshow there. Thing is, is can he work for FGR and be involved with ownership of Macc at the same time?

Robbie Savage is the new FGR manager, it will be confirmed in a short time.

The circus continues - Dale and his stunts.

He turns out enough carbon emissions on his canal boat to put net zero at risk.

With Savage's media profile I expect the spending to go through the roof this season.

The Savage story is on the front page of the BBC Sport website, paying dividends already.

JP, I think, originally reported that Russ was expected to leave, too - but I've not heard him mentioned, since.

I see they’ve just signed three players from Macclesfield.
That didn’t take Robbie long!

A take on Steve's sacking by ex FGR manager Frank Gregan courtesy of Ash Loveridge at The Stroud Times.
