Oops I forget
The chairman and board dont have a plan written down
Perhaps the majority shareholder does have a plan
Is anyone going to be told what the plan is now

Surely the logical thing now is to bring in a proper Director of Football to assess the entire footballing side of the club and present that back to the board and owner. That should include what needs to change down at season with infrastructure investment and a list of potential next managers and associated costs.

But first, advertise for a kit manager!

That said, I wonder if Mike Garlick has an eye on bringing in one of the DoF from his other clubs?

It depends how much faith MG has in MF, as MF obviously didn't want a DoF in the first place. He probably feels a bit vindicated. However, I guess it's good that we did have one, what with the manager being out of action over part of the summer - we may have been in an even worse position than we are now.

Apparently all of the signings were done by Flynn. Which begs the question - what exactly has Johnson been doing then?

I know Paul was wonderful but he wanted out alledgedly when Wilcox took over
He sold some of his shares to the trust

Exactly. If the signings are Johnson's, then he hasn't been doing a good enough job.

They can point to Archer and AJB but that could have literally boiled down to a text message letting Baker know theres a couple of promising out of contract players to look at, pass it on to the right people.

Former chairman says Johnson is the "scapegoat"; local journalist says Flynn is likely the "fall guy". Both can't be right.

That's my argument too, it was a wage bill we couldn't afford, especially as we struggled for money for players.
Think PB would be better keeping things to himself, or at the very least behind closed doors. There is a new king on the throne

Wellllll, I would argue that what he does, would not classify him as a politician. imho

Flynn had a Director of Football at Newport and Walsall. It's clear thought that he didn't get along with Gary Johnson and there has been a big power struggle behind the scenes which was brought to a head this summer but taken until now for any meaningful conclusion.

Question is, does this make any difference to our performances going forward? I doubt it.

According to a Newport fan I know, Flynn railed against the DOF when he was appointed there and it was what eventually led to Flynn leaving.

A team with no strikers worthy of the name can try as hard as they like and achieve little.

Thinking that signing Terry Ablade on deadline day was going to solve our problems was insane.
We can't even afford to shop in Lidl nowadays so assume we just bumped into him at the food bank.

He was the Johnson's big hope.
