Re: Shrewsbury Town v Cheltenham Town
Desperately need new signings and competition for places. Look at the bench yesterday... Hammond - young and inexperienced but hopefully will come off good. Thompson - looked good when he came on. Adshead - dissaponiting last season but was plagued with injuries Chapman - 3rd season running he has b...

Re: Goalkeeper
Great news
This transfer window has shocked me a little.
Firstly the lack of serious interest in Alfie and now the signing of southwood. I thought our fans were dillusional to think he would sign for us because he would sign for a bigger club.
Happy to be wrong

Does seem strange a player of that calibre goes for roughly what Tozer went for?
Glad it's over and we can move on but still feel deflated

Re: Next season's 11 (as it stands)
I think that 11 is a solid base and if added to with some quality and competition for places then I would be optimistic.
Only issue is, like you said, will sercs and Jacko resign?
Also what happens if there are offers for freestone, bonds and Keena? Then it changes everything.....

Re: Max Harris
One signed on at last. Nice to see JP say that he is seen as a future Robins no.1. Sick of having no.2/3 keepers who hang around for a few years, never get into the team and were never realistically going to be a first team player. Sercombe and Jackson still in talks apparently. If we don’t retain ...

Hope Barnsley go up. It would be great for duffs career and a justification for him leaving here but also we don't want to play him again next season. It's like keep bumping into your ex... Plus side of Weds staying in the league is obviously Hillsborough and also a full away end and bumper gate at ...

Re: Broom new contract ….
Writing was on the wall when he only signed a one year contract last summer. Overall in his two spells with is I thought he did well and he never stopped running. On our budget players like Broom aren’t always easy to come by. Sometimes people need to be careful what they wish for. Agree. Very good...

+1 Well everyone's entitled to their view, but I'll stick with the management team who are keen to retain him for obvious reasons. Do get that he needed to have chipped in with more goals though. He’s one that splits opinion. I liken him to JJ Melligan. Most fans loved him as he would pop up with i...

Hopefully he’ll realise that we are just as big as Shrewsbury and tell them to ‘do one’, like he did to them Vegan oiks up on t’hill. Sorry, but they are bigger than us. 25% higher attendances than us, Bigger modern stadium, bigger budget and at one point this season they were flirting with play of...

Just like we did in January 1998. Great night that, although at Elm Park. We took Reading all the way. And what a brilliant moment when Clive Walker smashed in the equaliser. 25 years on. I was going to ask what price these cans were...ye gods... Another is that having a pre-match drink with your mates is as...

Re: Where are they
The CF bar was a disaster - running out of glasses and training new staff. In the end they let us just have the cans because people were getting frustrated. Running out of glasses would be less likely if the club got with the times and had the £1 or £2 deposit reusable cups other sports venues use....

No problem with the vast majority of FGR fans. There is a bit of banter but mostly harmless fun. I don't really get this rivalry. I'm not bitter against them. Small local team punching abover their weight in the conference for years. Funny how perspective changes views on a game. This wasn't all that different to Accrington, Port Vale at home. Except after those games there was discontent with Wade. Now, having been on a good run, we're shrugging our shoulders and phlegmatically saying "Oh well, wasn't meant to be". Y...
