Hint, comment, suggestion. I wish Jon would just write the damn story. And stop using a far-right platform, but that's another issue.
Firstly, as you brought it up, it's only a far-right platform if you close your eyes to the problems in society or get yourself stuck within an echo chamber feedback loop that shows you only that. There are plenty of extreme leftists on there and the X algorithm is more than happy to shove them down your throat if you give it a chance.TheTownClub wrote: ↑01 Sep 2025, 17:26 Hint, comment, suggestion. Also, JP will only be able to say so much. We all want him to come out with everything he knows, but he obviously can't. However, he is letting us know that there is something wrong, and spelling it out as much as he possibly can. 2+2.
Nothing Horlick, there is nothing wrong

Thanks for that, needed a laughTheTownClub wrote: ↑01 Sep 2025, 17:26 Hint, comment, suggestion. I wish Jon would just write the damn story. And stop using a far-right platform, but that's another issue.

Comment seen on ‘X’ (Twitter) which needs to be addressed by the journalist, for fear of creating a potentially unintended & dangerous witch hunt amongst some of our more vociferous fans and keyboard warriors:
“ Whilst I applaud revelations of untoward goings-on at #ctfc there’s serious danger of undermining any ‘good’ that is trying to come to the fore at the Club. @JonPalmerSport must now state which is good & which is bad, otherwise some of our fans will demonise the wrong person(s).”

Am not on social media of any kind so miss most things i guess. But what I do see is the same person every match day, show up and being held accountable and owning everything. What you see is exactly what happens, and it happens at every club when things turn sour. The manager becomes the buck where it all stops. Look at Man Utd since Ferguson left. There is something very wrong at that club but it’s the manager who’s the one that gets clobbered every time.Ihearye wrote: ↑02 Sep 2025, 06:44Am not on social media of any kind so miss most things i guess. Jon Palmer dropped his bombshell hint yesterday without pointing his finger directly. The danger now is that the CTFC terraces may pick up on this and the wrong person gets the wrath from the fans, and the chop from the board. And nothing changes.
The reality is that it's not just one person to blame but one person is causing more issues than any other. Also it's pretty clear who Jon is implying is at the heart of it. I've also explained on other posts what is happening within the club and has been for a while in other posts.

I see what you are saying. What needs to be transmitted urgently to the fans, is to keep behind the manager and the players. I feel sure Mike Garlick will root out the main problem.Robin wrote: ↑02 Sep 2025, 08:22 The reality is that it's not just one person to blame but one person is causing more issues than any other. It has been thrown around sporadically (and rejected) over the years that the CTFC board was a closed shop, 'jobs for the boys' type set up however this is looking more and more like it is the case. The bottom line is we are run like a non league club with dreadful communication and engagement and commercially backward e.g. the fact that we still have had the same kit manufacturer and shirt sponsor for over a decade has never sat well with me in terms of how are we maximising our income, or not.
I also think is damning that MG said he first enquired about coming in over two years ago, why was investment rejected then? I thought we have always said we would accept investment if the right person came along? We were still in League 1 then, so just imagine what we could have done with a cash boost at that time rather than now, where it appears we are slipping inexorably towards the National League.

28 years with Errea now - only Bayern Munich in World football has a longer kit deal.Warwickshire Robin wrote: ↑02 Sep 2025, 09:20 It has been thrown around sporadically (and rejected) over the years that the CTFC board was a closed shop, 'jobs for the boys' type set up however this is looking more and more like it is the case. To be honest, I am getting bored with it all. If even a small percentage of this debacle is point scoring, then it is better suited in a primary school. The board, the management etc should all be mature enough to sit down and discuss this openly behind closed doors.
We are always told 'they' have the best interests of the club at heart , that 'they' are all fans. Well from out here it looks like a real $hit show.
What on earth has happened over the last year or so???? This should be a time of coming together and a brave new dawn, not this undignified point scoring and taking sides. And not a time for making up 'long lists'

The latest instalment in the saga is that MF has been washing the kit in the absence of a kitman. This came from JP in response to a post by Mark Halliwell about Cam Walters playing last night in a shirt with the wrong squad number on it.
Presumably this means that James Murphy left the club at some point recently? If so, I was completely unaware of this.
