Re: The Messiah to return?

Playing out from the back can be a disaster in League 2. Having said that I am not sure we have seen much of that so far from many sides. Tactics seem to be win the second ball and attack on the break. Simple tactics for simple footballers.Likewise a Management structure with minimal layers well di...

Re: Crawley Town v Cheltenham Town

The work may be being done, in that the club is operating. But I'd argue the work is being done to the absolute bare minimum. If the club was unable to advertise for a kitman because all focus was on the transfer window, as was mentioned on the podcast, shouldn't there be someone on the board who is...

I reckon your best bet would be one of the pubs with multiple screens, they'll likely show it on one screen while the rest of the pub watches Arsenal-Forest... Somewhere like the Miller, Spectre, Eagle Tap Social would be the best bet. It's something I'd love to see the club try and engage more and ...

So this is why we were sending out a player with no name or number on the back (of a shirt) against Salford. In fairness that was because Angol had to change his shirt due to blood on it, a lot of clubs just have a blank spare in case of that scenario. I noticed James Murphy wasn't at the Cleeve fr...

Just seen who is playing in this game. Mustapha Carayol, Rolando Aarons, Paul Appiah, Jubril Okedina, Saikou Janneh amongst some of the names I recognise. Janneh (ST) and Okedina (CB) were at Cambridge in L1 last season. We could do a lot worse than 24yo Okedina. Janneh is goal shy so would fit in,...

Unless someone is lined up to take over immediately, I'd rather see Flynn stay in post.
I do not want to see an article about his sacking ending with the words "Gary Johnson and Aaron Downes will take temporary charge while a new manager is appointed"

Pell was officially club captain last year, only named after his injury though so maybe just a symbolic thing and will change this year?

Sub-genre: Loan players whose subsequent careers confounded their time at Whaddon Road. Best - Luke Garbutt. A class apart for us. Was convinced he’d become an Everton regular. 13 years later he returns to us with Salford a shadow of that talented full back. Worst - John Marquis. Rubbish for us. Th...

:) Just hope Darragh Power the new RB fits straight in, he did well to get that tackle in with his first touch. AJB isn’t a good enough defender to play there, but ok as a RWB. £110k in prize money for us so far, and Birmingham and Peterborough also through in the southern section draw. Orient v Ste...

Shambolic is the word. Still bitter that the one time we had a decent run at it we had to play a one off semi-final on the home turf of our opponents. With a 20,000 crowd on our backs....and still only lost on penalties! I seem to remember we had a good run in 2006 but had to play in the week build...

Birmingham away. Better for gate receipts as it's split in the cup, and a new ground for most of our supporters who weren't around 30-odd years ago.

In all honesty, as much as this weeks news has annoyed me, I will be at pretty much every game next season, so it makes sense to buy a season ticket.

Obviously I hope I get good value for money, but it'll still save me money on buying week by week, even if I do miss the odd game here or there.

I'm guessing tomorrows result might swing it one way or the other. We noticed those blocks weren't sold out on Tuesday, despite the hype around how important the game was, so I understand waiting to see which side is likely to sell more to some extent. I hope this gets brought up at the forum on Thu...

I wish we could have it for home fans only but I guess unless we can guarantee to fill it the club are always going to take the guaranteed money of an away club rather than risk not selling to home fans and turning away cash. I agree with Jerry, as soon as I saw the empty spaces for Burton and Charl...
